15-year-old shoots and kills brother after being asked to clean room

It was a fight between brothers who loved each other, according to the friend who drove 25-year-old Tracy Marshawn Davis to a local fire station when he came back to life after allegedly being shot by his 15-year-old brother because he had asked him to clean his room.
Davis, a father of a young son and a U.S. Army veteran, died Sunday in Benson, North Carolina, according to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
Davis’ friend and roommate KJ Brown told the local CBS affiliate WNCN On Monday, he shared that he and Davis recently moved in with Davis’ father. The 15-year-old boy also lived in the apartment. Brown described things at home as normal; The brothers would argue, as brothers usually do.
“It just happened too fast, you know?” Braun said, reflecting on the tragedy. “I don’t know what it was, man.”
Brown said they spent the day at the gym and then when they got home to prepare dinner, Davis and his brother reportedly began arguing sometime around 6 p.m. Then the older brother told his sibling to clean his room.
There was an “argument,” Brown said.
“And the next thing you know, you hear gunshots,” he remembers.
Then Davis “came running to Brown,” he said, and told him what had happened.
“‘He just shot me,'” Davis reportedly said.
Brown helped the Army veteran into his car and they drove to a nearby fire station where emergency services were briefly provided before EMS took Davis to a local hospital.
He did not survive his injuries.
Police have not released the 15-year-old’s name for now, the local CBS affiliate said WNCNAfter police arrested the minor on Sunday evening, a murder charge was filed in juvenile court.
It was reported that Davis’ father told police when they were interviewed that it was his 15-year-old son who fired the gun at his other child.
