HGTV announces premiere date for new “Home Town” episodes
In addition to sharing the news of Ben and Erin’s new one-off special, HGTV also announced the premiere date for a new batch of Home Town episodes. The second part of the seventh season of “Home Town” will premiere on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. In the first episode of this episode, Ben, who is recovering from shoulder surgery, will enlist his friends Jim Rasberry and Josh Nowell to help Erin find the perfect home for a family of six from Canada.
The couple finished filming their seventh season last month, Erin confirmed in a Instagram post from October 24th.
As soon as filming was completed on the seventh season, the Napiers began the eighth season. Erin shared one Instagram post from October 27th, with the caption “Say hello, season 8, wave goodbye, season 7.” The post included a group photo of her and Ben with their crew posing in front of a large “Welcome to Laurel, Mississippi” sign.
The network ordered a 20-episode eighth season of “Home Town” in September 2023 and fans were thrilled once production began. Many users shared their excitement in Erin’s comments section on October 27.
“Thank God because I just ran out of episodes to watch! 😂 ❤️,” one user wrote.
“We’re so excited for the end of season 7. Good luck with season 8,” another fan added.
“And I’m here for it! I have learned so much about southern customs and hospitality from watching this show, apart from the beautiful home designs and sublime craftsmanship of Scotsman & Co… I would love to visit what seems to be the friendliest city ever… Love from up here 🇨🇦” , a third fan from Canada commented.
“You are all a true miracle team, that’s for sure…!!!! 💛 💛 💛 💛 🥰 🤩,” a fourth user shared.
Erin Napier announces new holiday partnership
Hometown holidays aren’t the only way the Napiers are ringing in the Christmas season. Erin announced in one November 3rd post that the couple’s candle shop, Laurel Mercantile Scent Library, launched a limited edition collaboration with the Salvation Army.
The candle, called “Season of Hope,” is sold in a red container similar to the Salvation Army’s red collection buckets. Erin’s post says, “It smells like a zesty navel orange and a spicy clove and fills my heart with childlike Christmas magic.”
The candle is available at the Scent Library in Laurel and select Dillard’s locations nationwide. It is also available on the website Shop now at the Laurel Mercantile online store.
