There’s something strangely satisfying about handling a pistol in Call of Duty. If a sidearm is powerful enough, you’ll feel like James Bond or Agent 47, spinning around the map and popping heads out. The problem is that pistols usually aren’t powerful enough to compete with top-tier meta weapons.

It also doesn’t help that Modern Warfare 3 includes a whopping 114 weapons at launch. With so many other options, a pistol probably ranks last on the list of most exciting weapons. But you could be wrong.
