Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty’s love story was revealed after he wooed the This Morning star with a very romantic gesture

HOST Cat Deeley told how husband Patrick Kielty wooed her by flying all the way from Ireland to LA – just for brunch.
New This Morning guest presenter Cat, 47, said the gesture “blown me away” after comedian Patrick, 52, decided to step up their long-standing friendship and make a romantic move.
Cat, who has been married to Patrick since 2012, said: “It was my birthday and he called me, he was in a pub in Ireland and called me from the pub.”
“Keep in mind it was probably about 2 a.m. because they had a lockdown.”
Cat told him she had a birthday brunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel, to which he said, “See you there!”
She continued: “He went home, set his alarm for five, got up, went to the airport and flew from Belfast.” Londonthen jumped on the first plane from London to LA, got in a taxi, told the taxi driver what he was doing on the way from the airport, and the driver literally asked, ‘Do you want me to wait for you?!’”

Cat and Patrick met while hosting in 2002 BBC Talent show Fame Academy – but it wasn’t until 10 years later that sparks flew between the couple.
After a whirlwind romance, the couple married in a private ceremony in Rome on September 30, 2012 – and had two sons.
The couple made their romance public while walking across the street Red carpet together for the glamor “Women of the Year 2011” award.
In an interview on This Morning, Patrick revealed he has “no regrets” about taking so long to romance Cat.
Speaking to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, he said things happened exactly as they were supposed to: “If we had gotten together right at the start we could have gotten on each other’s nerves. Everything came at the right time.”
Earlier this month, Cat, 43, said she had moved back to the UK California after a “horrific” mall shooting left Patrick and her son “shocked.”
In an interview with You According to Cat magazine, Patrick and Milo, 4, were shopping at the Century City Mall in Los Angeles at the time FBI Agents announced that a shooter was on the loose.
She said: “I got a call from Paddy saying: ‘They’re taking us out through the emergency exits but no one can get to their car. If we walk to an intersection, can you pick us up?’
“He wanted to keep Milo calm, so I didn’t understand the enormity of what was happening. Just like I was.” Drive I started seeing helicopters, News Transporters, firefighters and SWAT [armed police response] Squads.
“It makes me feel weird now. It was frightening… Paddy was shaken by it, more so than Milo, who was hot and bothered but didn’t really understand.”
Cat is happy to be home after swapping her Los Angeles mansion for an apartment in north London.
The Sun exclusively revealed last month that Cat, Patrick, Milo and youngest son James, 2, had put their four-bedroom mansion in the sought-after 91210 zip code on the market for a whopping $4,995,000.
A source close to Cat told The Sun: “She still has several projects in the works in the US and will be here and there to work, but for now she will be based in the UK.”
