Osimhen has been heavily linked with the Blues in the past and Chelsea are still pushing to sign the 24-year-old.

However, Mikel is ready to step in and enforce the deal after discussing it with Osimhen Obi One Podcast.

He told the Napoli striker: “I know you will come to Chelsea next season.”

“I’m telling you, I’m going to be the agent who brokers this deal. I’ll make sure that happens. We have been crying out for someone like you since Didier Drogba left the club.”

Drogba scored 164 goals in 381 appearances in two games for Chelsea and won the Premier League Golden Boot twice.

He also won 16 major trophies with the club, including the Champions League and four league titles.

Osimhen is a long-term target for a number of Premier League clubs including Chelsea.

The Blues are understood to be keen to step up their pursuit and have ‘increased the pressure’ on Napoli to complete a deal.

It will be hoped that Osimhen can solve the club’s problems and replace Nicolas Jackson in the attack for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Osimhen is currently out of contract in 2025, despite helping Napoli to the Serie A title last season as top scorer with 26 league goals.

He has continued his form this season, scoring six goals in eight Serie A games before being ruled out with a hamstring injury in October.
