I love my heated drying rack so much that I’m wondering if I’ll like it – and the best part is that it only costs pennies to run

As the winter nights drag on, many of us will be desperately trying to figure out how to dry our laundry indoors.

While we wouldn’t recommend airing your dirty laundry in public, one TikToker is so obsessed with her heated drying rack that she’s even joked about wanting it.

Is it love or just laundry day?

On TikTok, Katie Kohn showed her love for household items with a special tribute video.

Although love is a mysterious thing, the young woman seemed aware of how strange her obsession was, jokingly asking in the caption, “Can you be attracted to a clothes dryer?”

She further added, “I know this is such a middle-aged thing to say, but will you please listen to me?”

Like a real partner, the young woman then reeled off various attributes as a romantic song that played over a short clip.

It seems like the Tiktoker’s heart really is at home, as she explained the importance of keeping clothes out of sight and demonstrated this by zipping them up under the blanket.

Unlike other potential romantic partners, the heated dryer also doesn’t expect lavish gifts on anniversaries or birthdays.

In fact, Katie has shown how this can even save you money energy Bills thanks to the adjustable heating settings.

She proved that the dryer was a perfect fit for her by stating that it always smells good and leaves a warm, fresh home in her living room.

Although the video was obviously ironic, others were also impressed by the household item.

In fact, her viral video has racked up over 26,000 views on TikTok, and commenters have been eager to find something similar to Katie’s.

One user even added a heart emoji and gushed, “I’ve been looking for an alternative way to use my drying rack and THIS IS IT! Thank you very much!”

Another added: “OMG God this looks cool!”

For those of you still looking, the dryer is originally from Lakeland and sold for £149.99.

Luckily similar Models are still available on the brand’s website and have even been reduced as part of Black Friday.

In case you’re not convinced, Lakeland claims that the product will dry your clothes without costing you a small fortune!

Commenting on the now-viral video, they wrote: “…our heated tumble dryers cost just a few cents per hour to run, based on the cost of electricity per kilowatt hour of 30p between July 1st and September 30th 2023.”

Katie even supported this, saying that even in the winter months it only took 24 hours for clothes to dry.

I thought it depends on how heavy the fabric is, but it’s still pretty impressive.

So if you’d rather make yourself comfortable under the duvet this winter, you’ll find heated drying racks here.
