A stylish mum was left disappointed after her budget purchase on Amazon didn’t meet her expectations.
She was keen to try out the figure-shaping dress after seeing fashionistas raving about it online.

Lacey Johnson (@ldmadison) has nearly 28,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares her life as a glamorous mother of three.
She took to the social media platform after ordering a floor-length pink dress from there Amazon.
She didn’t post a link to the exact dress, but a nearly identical style is currently listed on the site for $29.
“I just got this dress on Amazon and bought it because I saw another designer talking about it and saying how great it was,” Lacey said.
“So I expected the same thing when I got it.
“Y’all, this dress is completely see-through and I had to take off my underwear because all you could see was my underwear.
“The quality is the very thin T-shirt material.
“I mean, I don’t even know what kind of bra you would have to wear with it.”
Lacey adjusted the dress to show how it should fit her bra when she wore it due to the plunging neckline.
She explained that she was wearing a bra specifically designed for square necklines as she pulled up the excess fabric to cover her chest.
The trendy mom posed from different angles as she continued to complain about her “Skims dupe dress fail.”
“I was so excited,” Lacey said. “I mean, it’s cute, but totally transparent.
“Just very cheap material and she hyped it up.
“I’m not going to lie to y’all and say it’s great, because it’s not.”
Over 4,000 people watched the video and it received hundreds of likes from people grateful for their honest review.

The Skims long sleeve slip dress is eye-wateringly expensive compared to the Amazon duplicate at $128.
However, it boasts of providing compression and support while “accentuating your curves in all the right places.”
Currently it is only in stock in the color black in sizes XXS to 4X.
