I’m a hairdresser and here are the three shampoos you should definitely avoid – they are so damaging to your hair

A hairdresser has revealed the three shampoos she would avoid – saying they can leave your hair dull and dry.
Georgia is a stylist who often shares tips on social media.
In a recent post, she warned beauty fans about a trio of popular shampoos you’re likely to find on store and supermarket shelves.
“These are three standard shampoos to stay away from. I mean, at any cost. This is not a joke,” she said.
“So number one is Tresemme, where do I even start?
“It’s full of sulfates, like whole milk, and it contains silicon, which is incredibly irritating to the scalp.”
She added: “Head and Shoulders is number two.”
“Of course this is supposed to help against dandruff, but you can get better ones at the pharmacy. Actually prescription ones.”
“And it also contains a lot of sulfate.
“So if you use it over time, your hair will become dry and dull, and it really doesn’t help with your dandruff.”
“And Pantene too,” she said, rounding out the list.
“That contains a lot of sulfate.
“And the more you use it, the more you block your hair follicles and I guarantee you it will leave a residue on the hair every time.
“So don’t use any of these shampoos.”
Her advice is met with disagreement among hair fanatics, with some supporting the list.
One said: “I don’t buy any of these because they irritate my scalp badly.”
A second wrote: “Agreed! Tresemme caused my hair to fall out, as did Pantene, and Head and Shoulders dried it out immediately.”
While a third added: “I’m crying that these three are the only shampoos I use.”
But others defended the high street shampoos, claiming they had never had a problem.
“I use Tresemme and my hair has never been better,” claimed one.
A second wrote: “Using H&S again. It’s the product that fixes my scalp.”
“I use Pantene and it has helped me repair my damaged hair and my hair is really soft,” agreed a third.
“It’s also grown a lot since I started.”
Turning instead to the shampoos she recommends, Georgia praised Wella Professionals Fusion and Color Wow for soft and healthy hair, and Nizoral for dandruff or dry scalp.
