In short TikTok videoShe showed viewers how to “bleed” your radiator.

Apparently it has many benefits that go far beyond raising the temperature in your house by a few degrees.

She walked people through the process step by step.

First she unscrewed the top of the radiator slightly and a hissing sound came out.

“You should leave this open until water comes out,” the content creator advised.

Once the water flows out, she said, you turn it off and “it’s done.”

In the video caption, Jasmine explained the four benefits of bleeding your radiator.

She wrote that it saves money on your bills, improves heating system efficiency, reduces water pressure in the heating system, and of course warms your home better.

A viewer chimed in in the comments and asked a question.

“What if no water comes out? Mine stopped making noise and then I let it sit a little longer and no water came out. This happened with all the radiators upstairs,” she shared.

Several TikTok users offered to help with their problem.

“There may be a leak somewhere or a valve that isn’t closed. First make sure they are all closed and then start bleeding from the bottom up,” one wrote.

Another added: “The pressure in your system is too low, it just needs to be topped up with water. I highly doubt you have a leak like the other comment says.”
