Will Baldur’s Gate 3 come to Xbox?

Yes, Baldur’s Gate 3 is coming to Xbox. Larian developers Swen Vincke has confirmed They’ve been working on the Xbox release “for some time.” Vincke later shared an optimization breakthrough that many fans interpreted as a promising sign for the eventual Xbox port.

The last one was Developers said that the Xbox Series X|S port of Baldur’s Gate 3 is still “on track for a December release.” They plan to announce the exact date during The Game Awards, which will take place on December 7th.

The developers confirmed some time ago that an Xbox version of the game was in development. However, due to technical difficulties, they refrained from making a formal announcement until August 2023. These are largely related to getting things up and running on the less powerful Series S, combined with Microsoft’s requirement for feature parity.

That policy appears to have been relaxed in this case, as Baldur’s Gate 3 will not have split-screen co-op mode when it launches on the Series S.

One good thing to note here is that Baldur’s Gate 3 will have cross-platform progression. Therefore, once the Xbox port is released, you should be able to switch platforms without any problem.
