According to Vassos, producers had even booked her return flight when her daughter’s problems recurred, so she didn’t come back.
“I wanted to come back maybe four or five days after I left,” Vassos told The Wrap. “And then my daughter wasn’t feeling well again. We just hadn’t made it far enough – I hadn’t gotten her a doctor yet; There were calls coming in, but they just weren’t moving fast enough.”
Joan Vassos said on the “Women Tell All” episode that she thought she had a “good chance” of being Turner’s choice
In the “Women Tell All” episode, Vassos obviously regretted not returning to the series. She said in this episode that she felt like she had a connection with Turner.
“I look at the journey I’ve been on and it was abrupt and I feel like I had unfinished business and I didn’t see Gerry at the end and he cried so much and it “I’m really sorry I did that for him,” she said during the episode in which she was briefly reunited with Turner.
Vassos said she thought it was possible that she and Turner had made it: “I think we had a good chance. “Gerry made me feel visible because he looked at me, he cared to say it and he wanted to get to know me,” she said on Women Tell All.
