M&S shoppers are delighted with the return of the Percy Pig Advent calendar – but fans discover a major flaw

M&S shoppers are excited for the return of the Percy Pig Advent calendar, but some fans have spotted a major mistake.
Percy and Colin fans can now start the countdown to Christmas with the help of their favorite characters.
Marks and Spencer has announced the arrival of the Percy and Colin Advent calendars on social media, causing quite a stir among Percy fans.
However, some fans of the duo are not impressed, especially when it comes to Percy.
Instead of finding a Percy Pig behind every door in the countdown to Christmas, fans of the sweet treat will have to wait until Christmas Day.
Instead, the calendar contains 24 Percy-shaped chocolates that have the taste of the popular dessert.
Fans won’t be able to get their hands on a bag of real Percy Pigs until December 25th.
Disappointed shoppers took to social media to vent their frustration, saying: “When you see Percy, you expect to get Percy.”
Another person said: “I still don’t understand why the Percy Pig calendar doesn’t have Percy Pig sweets in it. It’s so obvious. Why?”
Another agreed, saying: “I’ve said that every year and it’s still chocolate.”
While another added: “I actually bought the Percy Pig advent calendar last year because I thought it had Percy Pig sweets in it.”
“I was totally disappointed when I opened the first door and found chocolate.”
Marks and Spencer responded to shoppers on Facebook, saying they would “let the food team know” that customers would rather see sweets than chocolate any day.
They added that they would “keep this in mind as we create a similar calendar for next year.”
However, not everyone was disappointed with the Percy calendar, with one person saying: “This is so cute, I need this in my life.”
Another added: “I think I’m going to get two of these.”
The less controversial Colin Advent calendar contains different milk chocolates with a Colin motif every day in the run-up to Christmas.
On the big day you will receive a bag of festive mini Colin faces and there will also be activities at the back of the box.
Both calendars are available in Marks and Spencer Foodhalls or on Ocado, priced at £6 each.
Fans of Percy have plenty of choice when it comes to having a Percy Pig-filled Christmas.
The retailer launched an entire range that included Christmas stockings, mugs and even Christmas tree decorations.
We’ve also tested some of the most popular Advent calendars on the market and found this year’s selection is better than ever.
