Reason I’m A Celeb’s Nigel Farage may AVOID court hearing as politicians brace for backlash and fans threaten to boycott the show – The Sun

NIGEL Farage sparked backlash as fans threatened to boycott the show after claiming he was entitled to skip the Bushtucker Trials.
The controversial I’m A Celebrity contestant was spotted landing in Brisbane over the weekend ahead of the new series, hosted by veteran presenters Ant and Dec.
Nigel’s presence in the camp sparked outrage and ITV has already been hit with more than 1,000 complaints – before the first episode even aired.
The 59-year-old is also said to be the “highest-paid” star in I’m A Celeb history, with a £1.5million deal rumored to have lured him into the jungle.
Until now, Deal or No Deal legend Noel Edmonds was thought to have earned the most profitable paycheck – a staggering £600,000 in 2018.
However, despite the generous sum, Nigel claimed that he did not have to take part in all the infamous Bushtucker trials.
Some of the most memorable in recent years included Alison Hammond and Kayla Collins sitting with live insects in their mouths for 20 seconds.
One of the hardest eating experiments to watch featured Katie Price and Kim Woodburn as they were forced to eat fish eyes, a cricket, a cockroach, a kangaroo anus, a witch maggot and a kangaroo testicle.
Meanwhile, viewers were horrified as Ferne McCann was forced to eat a lamb’s brain, a bull’s penis and a live tarantula.
However, the former UKIP politician said a back injury resulting from a plane crash following a PR stunt gone wrong in 2010 gave him a medical exemption for some strenuous challenges.

Nigel also revealed before the show that he wants to prove he’s not a “malicious, evil little Englishman”.
The former UKIP politician believes his decade-long campaign for Britain to leave Europe has “demonised” him in public.
But an unexpected boom in popularity has given him confidence he will join the ITV show in a stronger position than the disgraced Matt Hancock last year.
Nigel, 59, said: “My crime was going against the establishment’s view. For many years I was the only voice saying that Europe was not where we should be, so I was demonized a bit.
“I hope those who hate me hate me a little less after this. But it’s a gamble. And the idea that the things I represent – mean, small-minded, evil, the “little Englishman” – all the accusations that have been thrown at me over the years are simply not true.
“If we can clear up some of these misunderstandings, then that’s a good thing too.”
Nigel added: “What will be interesting is the perception the other campers will have of me. They’ll continue with their preconceptions and it might be a little frosty – we’ll just have to wait and see. I can’t pretend to be someone other than who I am, I never have.
“But I survived in the European Parliament for 20 years while all sorts of people tried to trip me up, so I’m used to it.”
It comes as the full I’m A Celeb line-up was revealed before the housemates hit the jungle on Sunday night.
Ant and Dec will welcome the latest stars brave enough to take on the tricky bushtucker trials and terrifying challenges on Sunday November 19th.
They include former English professional boxer Tony Bellew, Britney Spears’ sister Jaime-Lynn Spears, Hollyoaks icon Nick Pickard and This Morning favorite Josie Gibson.
Meanwhile, First Dates’ Fred Sirieix also joins world-famous jockey Frank Dettori and popular influencer Nella Rose.
It will be a real mix of characters, with former Eastenders star Danielle Harold alongside Made in Chelsea personality Sam Thompson, JLS actor Marvin Humes and Masterchef against Grace Dent.
