Seven homes were damaged and one was taken to hospital after a fire in Carlisle

CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) – Multiple firefighters were called to an overnight fire at a townhouse in Carlisle Sunday evening that sent one person to the hospital.

Emergency crews were called to North Pitt Street in Carlisle around 11:45 p.m

According to the Carlisle Fire Department, seven homes were damaged in the fire and at least one was demolished. The remaining six homes suffered both smoke and water damage.

All residents of these homes are displaced and are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross. One resident was taken to hospital with his injuries.

There is still no information about what started the fire. The Carlisle Fire Department and Carlisle Police Department are still investigating.
