Sharna Burgess says she would “love” to return to DWTS.

Sharna Burgess’ posts on her Instagram Stories led some fans to believe that she was ready to say goodbye to “Dancing With the Stars” for good.

The ballroom pro shared a video of her new tattoo on November 7, 2023 and seemed to suggest that she has no plans to return to the show. She later clarified her comments.

“Let’s see if you can figure this out,” Burgess said, holding up the sleeve of her T-shirt. “It says Zane Walker Green. “So down there is the Unalong symbol, which is basically your unique life path,” she continued, adding, “It goes all the way up to the unconditional love symbol.”

“I’m obsessed with it and can’t wait to think of the new ones I want to get. I was hesitant about getting tattoos for so long, even though I love them, because I never really wanted to get too many for Dancing With the Stars because it’s super healthy. And I think that a lot of tattoos on girls probably still don’t matter in this series. But now I’m happy that I can do some things,” Burgess said, indicating that she no longer has to worry about DWTS.

Sharna Burgess said her post did not contain a ‘hidden message’

Some fans messaged Burgess asking her if this was her way of saying she had no plans to return to the show, and she decided to address those concerns directly.

“Many of you have asked me if what I said about tattoos means I’m not going back to ‘dancing,'” Burgess said with a laugh. “NO. But to fill the gap for you: I have no idea what will happen there. I would like to [return]. I still love the show. Who knows what that will be next year? But I’m also in a situation where I’m doing things that I want to do and that feel good to me,” Burgess said.

“And something I’ve wanted to do for a long time is to put more artwork on my body, which I’ve been thinking about for a long time. Something for my mother. Something for my grandma, the woman who got me into dancing. Obviously something for Zane. And actually design something really cool for all kids. No, there is no hidden message in it at all. But I am capable of doing what I want for myself. And I think that’s what I meant,” she added.

Burgess before showed another tattoo on her hands. She has inked “LO” on one side and “VE” on the other. Her fiancé, Brian Austin Green, got the same tattoo that spells out the word “LOVE” when holding hands.

Sharna Burgess previously said she wasn’t sure what the future holds

Burgess’ comments come weeks after she announced she was eliminated from Season 32 of the dance competition show.

“It’s known now. The cast has been leaked. “But I wasn’t asked to be on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ again this year, which was definitely a big shock for me,” she said on September 12, 2023. Follow the “Old”ish,“Podcast.

“When those spots were all taken, I realized I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ “I didn’t get the call,” she added. Later in the episode, Burgess said she wasn’t sure if she would ever return to the show.

“I don’t know if that means I can ever do it again. And feeling that uncertainty: “Wow.” Is this part of my journey over now?” She wondered. “Where do we go from here?” I’m excited to have the space to create other things again, and I know the universe did this for a reason, creating this space so I could focus on the next thing. But it feels really sad,” she said.

Meanwhile, Burgess was excluded from the pros’ tribute to Len Goodman, although other former pros were invited to the special evening.

“I have not made a single public comment about the honor for several reasons. Firstly… I know this isn’t about me, it’s about Len and the honor he deserves. Secondly… That hurt more than not being asked back and I’m working on it,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories in October 2023.
