The 45-year-old man appears in court charged with the murder of Perseverance Ncube, who was stabbed to death in front of her children

A MAN has appeared in court charged with the murder of a mother who was stabbed to death in front of her children.
Perseverance Ncube, 35, was found with serious injuries in Salford in the early hours of Friday morning.
Obert Moyo, 45, appeared at Bolton Magistrates Court today and was charged with murder.
He is also charged with possession of an offensive weapon, described in the indictment as a “skewer.”
Moyo was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Manchester Crown Court on Wednesday.
Screams could be heard as Perseverance, called Percy by her friends, ran out of the house in a desperate attempt to escape.
She collapsed on the street after suffering a stab wound to the chest and later died in hospital.
Perseverance’s family paid tribute, saying: “It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Perseverance Ncube, also known as Percy to her loved ones.”
“She was a loving and devoted mother who lived for her children, family and friends.
“Percy was an active member of her church and had created a beautiful community for herself and her children.
“Percy had just celebrated her 35th birthday in October and her death left us with an immeasurable sense of loss.
“Our focus now is to support their children as they continue their journey without their mother.
“With love from Percy’s family.”
