The legendary girl band is making a big comeback after a decade and has secretly gotten back together to shoot a video ahead of the new album and tour

GIRLS Aloud are making a big comeback after more than a decade of absence.
The pop superstars secretly reunited in a north London studio to film the music video for their first single in 11 years.
Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts dedicated the new song to their bandmate Sarah Harding who died of cancer in 2021 at the age of 39.
The reunion marks a remarkable comeback for the top act, who were dogged by rumors of feuds before their split in 2013.
A music source said: “This has been one of the best kept secrets in pop but now it’s actually happening.”
“After Sarah’s death the girls really came back together as friends and that sorted out some of the old rifts and put things in perspective. Suddenly the reunion that had seemed completely impossible for so long felt completely natural – in Sarah’s honor.”
The four bandmates arrived at a north London studio in separate cars, wearing caps and sunglasses to avoid being recognized.
In the video for their new single – the band’s first in eleven years – the girls play superhero characters with Wonder Woman-style costumes and capes.
The band, who formed on ITV talent show Pop Stars: The Rivals in 2002, are reportedly excited to be working together again.
And they’re reportedly planning to make more music – before they go on tour with it.
The insider added: “They have a single and video in the works, plan to record a full new music and the most exciting thing for fans will be a big reunion tour in 2024.”
“It’s going to be huge – and they’re all very excited to be working together again, even if there’s a bittersweet element to it.
“Of course, there will always be recognition of Sarah’s contribution to the group in everything they do.”
Millions of viewers watched as the five members of Girls Aloud were chosen as finalists by ITV Pop Stars judges Pete Waterman, Louis Walsh and Spice Girl Geri Halliwell.
They prevailed against their boy band counterparts One True Voice and ultimately secured the coveted prize Christmas No. 1 with their debut single “Sound of the Underground”.
In their illustrious career, they achieved a record 20 consecutive top ten singles, including four No. 1 hits and five Brit Award nominations.
However, the band then announced that they would be taking a break in 2009 to focus on other projects.
The girls were always the subject of split rumors – Cheryl, Nicola and Kimberley formed a tight trio and regularly clashed with Nadine and Sarah.
Her next The single “Something New” wasn’t released until November 2012, when they reunited for a tenth anniversary tour.
After their last concert in March 2013, they announced that they were splitting up for good – to Nadine’s obvious surprise.
She later claimed she was blindsided by the other four girls’ decision to quit the band without consulting her.
Nadine said she was only told minutes before her final on-stage appearance on her Ten: The Hits Tour. She added: “I didn’t want the band to end, it was as simple as that.
“I didn’t think we were going to break up – and then on the very last night of the tour our management and our publicist came to me and said the girls wanted to break up the band. I thought, ‘What?!'”
She added: “I screamed and cried on and off stage.”
Just minutes after their last date, the group released a statement announcing the split.
They said in a statement to her army of the fans: “Dear Alouders, we just want to say from the bottom of our hearts hearts‘Thank you very much’!
“This tour was an incredible experience and the perfect opportunity to say thank you for joining us on this journey through a decade.
“It has far exceeded all of our dreams and we hope that we will forever be your inspiration and reminder that dreams really do shine!” Your love and support will be with us forever, but we are now at the end of our incredible time together arrived. Love you lots.”
