The Nintendo Switch port of Hogwarts Legacy looks surprisingly playable

After several delays Hogwarts legacyThe game’s Switch port surprised gamers who were expecting a mess due to the console’s inferior hardware.

On November 13th, a player named ardeesan posted a short clip showing off the game on Reddit, impressing others who hadn’t yet gotten their hands on it.

The Switch isn’t known for its graphical prowess, which often results in new games looking blurry or completely unplayable. But it seems that the developers at Avalanche Software knew exactly how to work around this problem and surprised players with the performance of the port.

While most praised the game’s impressive looks, others warned that parts of the game were removed to achieve this level of performance. According to one player, “A lot of the magic has been removed.” Maybe that’s just the price Switch players have to pay.

The release was originally scheduled for April 2023. Hogwarts legacyThe switch port was delayed twice. First until July, then until November. It seems the delay was much needed, considering how smoothly the game runs on a system not designed to handle games with this much detail.

With the publication of Hogwarts legacy On Switch, the game is now available on all current and previous generation consoles. If you’re a fan of handheld consoles, now is the time to play.
