TikToker exposes Airbnb host for huge price hike after revealing she is dating Taylor Swift

A woman went viral on TikTok after exposing an Airbnb host who increased the price of her booking after revealing why she wanted to stay there.

TikTok is now firmly anchored in the everyday lives of many social media users, be it when swiping through videos or uploading clips themselves.

It’s no longer just about dance routines, songs or creative videos, as it has become a place for many people to vent their frustrations about the different things going on. A popular genre of complaints comes from Airbnb, where guests routinely report some of the worst experiences they’ve ever had and hosts do the same.

The host said the price would be increased to $1200 per night before the TikToker was offered different options.

Of course, Ariel rejected these alternatives before the host blamed Airbnb for not allowing them to change the price on bookings over such a long period of time.

Ariel stated that this was wrong because her friend was a SuperHost and denied it. “For anyone who thinks I’m wrong, hosts have the ability to set prices for dates for upcoming events that last longer than a year,” she said.

The TikToker even uploaded a video of her friend showing that this is indeed the case and hosts have the ability to change prices regardless of what the other host claimed.

Many viewers sided with her in the controversy, suggesting she should take the host to court after he claimed Ariel tried to “steal” and “threaten” her on the news.

“She only wanted to change the price because you mentioned Taylor Swift and realized she screwed up. Good for you!” said one. “Had this issue with a host, still in a three year legal battle. He’s unhappy. Just stop communicating and let Airbnb handle it,” said another.
