Vernon Kay Ultramarathon Challenge LIVE – Radio 2 star begins Children In Need race as map and expected finish are revealed

Big-hearted Vernon Kay is put to the test in a series of marathons as he attempts to raise money for BBC Children in Need.

Kay, who presents Radio 2’s morning show, was faced with the challenge of traveling from Leicester to Bolton in just four days.

In total he will cover over 115 miles. Kay started his ultramarathon for BBC Children in Need at 9am today (14 November 2023).

The challenge began at Victoria Park in Leicester and ends in the star’s hometown of Bolton.

In the ultramarathon, Vernon will walk approximately 115 miles. The radio star told the BBC: “I was just getting used to my new morning routine and now this!”
