Why did Megan Barton-Hanson leave Love Island Games?
During the episode, Iain Sterling appeared to make a brief announcement that Megan would not be on the series. He gave no further details about what happened to her. He only said that she had to leave for “medical reasons.”
Kyra, who Megan became more familiar with, added that Megan had been sick throughout the competition.

“I’m OK. It’s definitely disturbing… just obviously on different sides and I couldn’t really get on the same page because she was sick and had to get out of here,” he explained.

Pelvic inflammatory disease is an infection of the upper genital tract that is very painful. Love Island has not confirmed that this illness is the reason Megan had to leave the show, but it seems to be the culprit. Given that filming for the series took place in September, most fans think this is an obvious conclusion.
Megan could still return to the villa, at least in theory, although no announcement has been made about whether or not she will.
